POSITION DESCRIPTION
POSITION PURPOSE -
The Field Inspector function is responsible for
coordinating the installation and completion of the
customer's job; while ensuring the job is completed
on time, within specified cost and to the customer's
satisfaction.

MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES -
- Perform all Pre-Installation Inspections
- Ensure customers are satisfied with entire process and the
completed installation.
- Coordinate and communicate with applicable departments to ensure resolution of all customer issues and perform services as needed
- Resolve all installation issues within 24 hours
- Ensure all project paperwork is completed
- Complete any jobsite inspections as directed by the supervisor
- Assist in Recruiting and retaining installation
contractors who meet established standards of quality
- Schedule contractor's work assignments
- Responsible for returns
- Help unload new windows
- Organize Warehouse
- Partner with Sales organization to conduct training for Sales Consultants
- All other duties assigned by Manager

ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS -
Typically located in a comfortable indoor area. There may be regular exposure to mild physical discomfort from factors such as dust, fumes or odors, temperature extremes, loud noise, strong drafts, or bright lights.

Travel
Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

Position Reports to Title: Field Supervisor or Installation Manager

Number of Direct Reports:
No associates report to this role on a permanent basis, but requires the technical leadership of a project work team: may select team members and assess capabilities, provide technical training, provide information necessary to meet work, project or program objectives, evaluate program or project performance.




ESSENTIAL SKILLS
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS -
Minimum Age : 18

Education: The knowledge, skills, and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diploma and/or G.E.D.

PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS -
Physical Job Requirements: Requires intermittent periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting material or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkward.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS -
Must pass drug and background tests. Must pass pre-employment tests, if applicable.
Must possess a valid driver’s license and have access to a reliable vehicle. Must be flexible to work nights, holidays and weekends.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS -
- Knowledge or experience in the home improvement industry; including, but not limited to roofing, siding and windows
- Professional appearance
- Able to multi-task, strong organizational skills, initiative to complete tasks with little or no direction, self motivated
- Basic to intermediate computer skills
- Basic skills in written and verbal communication

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND COMPETENCIES -
- Knowledge of relevant products, application, industry and market knowledge
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely (both written and verbal)
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously; keep accurate records and follow up as necessary to complete customer's job accurately and on time
- Good interpersonal skills with a strong sense of urgency and problem solving skills
- Incorporate safety precautions to ensure project meets and/or exceeds customer's expectations
