A notable number of our top executives began their careers with Staples.Supervise the daily activities of between 9 and 14 associates. Review, monitor, and report on productivity. Support the development and implementation of all conversions and new programs and projects that relate to Accounts Payable (AP)processing areas. Identify and implement process improvements when needed while maintaining a high level of efficiency and accuracy.
Operations Management
- Review AP processes and evaluate, develop, recommend and implement required changes to provide a consistently high level of customer service.
- Actively participate in the monthly close process.
- Prepare and publish weekly/monthly status reports to senior management.
- Maintain acceptable backlogs and work with the manager to improve processes and distribution of workload.
- Responsible for reviewing, monitoring and reporting the productivity for this group on a weekly basis.
People Management
Provide coaching and mentoring to staff and make decisions to resolve issues in a timely manner.
Communicate issues to management and follow-up on resolution.
Responsible for the vacation, sick and personal time tracking for all associates.
Responsible for evaluating performance for all members of the team.Relationship Management
Maintain positive work relationships with members of other teams to whom information is provided or from whom information is gathered.
Assist in establishing and maintaining strong, collaborative relationships with internal and external customers to consistently improve customer satisfaction.
Interface with other teams to ensure compliance with cross functional responsibilities.
