POSITION DESCRIPTION
POSITION PURPOSE - The Sr. Systems Engineer develops, maintains and supports The Home Depot's technical infrastructure and hardware components for moderately complex projects. Designs electrical, low voltage, ergonomic and environmental solutions for the support of hardware implementation (i.e. providing single line drawings for building construction, testing new hardware for power consumption and thermal values, electrical costs savings, etc...). Evaluates existing and proposed electrical drawing sets for building design and remodels/resets, for the support of IT equipment. Performs root cause analysis for service interruption recovery; create preventative measures and present to management. Perform retail, logistics and other non-retail engineering and roll-out implementation, supporting all sites in the US, Canada, Mexico, India, and China. Ability to present ideas and manage projects. Interface with Business Stakeholders on complex projects. Update manager on escalated issues. May operate as a team lead guiding newer associates or interns. From 10 – 50% travel is required
MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES - Perform installation, maintenance and support of system hardware and infrastructure and user support for moderately complex projects. May oversee this effort if acting in team lead capacity. Perform retail, logistics sites, and other non-retail engineering and roll-out implementation. Perform configuration, debugging and support for infrastructure platform for moderately complex projects. Perform root cause analysis for service interruption recovery; create preventative measures. Provide technical direction to System and Associate Engineers, Operations Specialists, and contractors. Interface with Business Stakeholders on all applicable projects. Update manager on all escalated issues.

ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS –
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS – Electrical Engineering degree BICSI certified RCDD Experience as an electrician and/or work with electrical contractors Experience with AutoCAD 5-7 years experience is preferred.
EDUCATION REQUIRED - Electrical Engineering Degree or Master Electrician
YEARS OF RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE - 3
CERTIFICATES/LICENSES -
PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS - Frequent periods are spent standing or sitting in the same location with some opportunity to move about; occasionally there may be a need to stoop or lift light objects (typically less than 8 pounds).
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS - Knowledge and experience with computer hardware, low voltage cabling, electrical systems, operating systems and system software.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - Electrical Engineering degree BICSI certified RCDD Experience as an electrician and/or work with electrical contractors Experience with AutoCAD 5-7 years experience is preferred.
General knowledge of Home Depot is helpful.
