**One part-time position is available from 2:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. There may be some flexibility on the start and/or end time. **

Staples Industrial is a business unit of Staples, Inc. We market and distribute industrial and retail packaging, shipping and warehouse products to thousands of small and mid-sized manufacturers, distributors and retailers throughout the US and Canada. We offer over 7,500 industrial and retail packaging and shipping products, and our product line includes a wide variety of polyethylene bags, corrugated boxes, tape, labels, protective packaging, mailers, retail shopping bags and related packaging supplies. Our sales channels include Catalog/Direct Mail, the Internet and Outside Sales.

We have an opening in our Sudbury fulfillment center for a part-time Material Handler to join our dynamic team.

Job Responsibilities:

* Unloads pallet trailers and cleans debris.
* Organizes orders to be picked and consolidates where possible.
* Selects orders, both full case and break pack, pulls, stacks and labels merchandise and brings to the staging area. Notes any exceptions to the quantity picked on the selection document.
* Ensures product is in correct location; documents errors and notifies Lead or Supervisor.
* Stocks received items into either primary or overstock locations.
* Notes put-away locations and quantities.
* Reports item placement errors.
* Inspects all power equipment, filling out proper documentation, prior to operation.
* Ensures product is stacked neatly and safely.
* Completes all tasks accurately and completely in order to meet internal/external customer requirements.
* Performs all tasks to ensure a safe work environment for all associates.
* Maintains a clean and neat work space at all times.
* Seeks to improve processes and communicates to co-workers and management.
* Uses and maintains RF (radio frequency) equipment; Adheres to usage procedures.
* Performs all job tasks in all departments necessary to serve customers and support team
* Performs other duties as assigned.
* Works at heights of up to 25 feet.
* Works as a team member by interacting and communicating with fellow associates in a cooperative, constructive manner.
* Maintains dependable, regular attendance.
* Basic knowledge of arithmetic.
* Ability to read, write and count.
* Previous experience with material handling equipment (forklift, cherry picker, etc.).
* High school diploma or GED
